Building Magazine the flagship journal for the construction industry today published a focus piece with the dramatic headline: “IR35: Is this the end of the road for the freelancer?”

A vast industry and one of the largest agency workforces, it points to research that a third of member businesses still aren’t aware of the IR35 reforms and impact on the cost of doing business in the sector.

Its clear that there will be many long term projects underway that cant be adjusted to accommodate the cost increases – estimated at up to 20% based on the public sector construction contracts that have already seen the roll-out.
